ABOUT

Tiago Carvalho received his B.Sc. (Computer Sci- ence) degree from Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), Brazil in 2008. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. (Computer Science) from University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil, in 2010 and 2014, respectively. Along his Ph.D. developed digital forensics methods for detecting image splicing in cooperation with some of main research groups around the world as the group of Prof. Dr. Hany Farid (Dartmouth College - USA) and the group of Prof Dra. Elli Angelopoulo (University of Erlangen-Nuremberg - German). Currently, he is an assistant professor in the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo. He has served as a member of technical committee and reviewer for several conferences and journals. His main interests include digital image forensics, image processing, pattern analysis, machine learning, general computer vision. In 2011 he was awarded with the best image processing master's dissertation in SIBGRAPI-2011 by his work in diabetic retinopathy anomalies detection in eye funds images. In 2014 he was awarded with the best Ph.D. Thesis in SIBGRAPI-2014 by his digital forensics research. Finally, in 2015 his Ph.D. Thesis got the second place in Brazilian Computer Society award.
